Winter 2026: Hello everyone,

We are busy working on some new stuff and we will be posting the evidence soon.

Please be aware though that some of our band members will be undergoing medical related running repairs over the next few months, so we have not planned any gigs yet for 2026.

Rest assured though we are champing at the bit to get back playing live and we will let you know as soon as possible when dates are booked.

hello, we are cadence, please to meet you.

we are a 6-piece band whose maxim is quality not quantity. cadence are not the run of the mill covers band, we are something a little different. Musically we are a multi-genre band whose shows are far and few between.

our passion for music DRIVES us to deliver EXPERIENCES WORTH REMEMBERING.

cadence a potted history

formed in the summer of 2023.

Mel was the first to respond to Shaun’s online advert asking for ‘musicians of a certain maturity’ and following a discussion over a cappuccino and a skinny latte, the band was conceived. well……… you know what i mean.

Kev followed shortly and then Andy. Once the basis of the band was set up, we began the most laborious of processes – trying to agree on a name……… oh and finding a singer.

For the rest of 2023 and deep into 2024 a couple of singers came and went, which left us fully rehearsed but without a vocalist. Having met with a few potential singers, it wasn’t until Mel had a light bulb moment and decided to invite a friend of a friend along to rehearsal – and Esther has stayed ever since.

in the autumn of 2024 we welcomed chris on keys and since his arrival he has provided us with an extra dimension to what we do.

People often ask, what type of band is Cadence? Shaun has always said, ‘We are like no other band - we are Cadence. I’m sure there are the inevitable comparisons with other bands, but Cadence are a group of people who get together and make great music and then occasionally ply their wares on the unsuspecting public. we’re incomparable - ha’.
